People and Culture

Research Leadership and Collaborative Teamwork

We are a research-focused group that combines deep systems expertise with domain-driven collaboration. Our culture values rigor, openness, and strong student mentorship.

Dr. István Zoltán Reguly

Full Professor, PPKE ITK

Institutional PI, AURORAI (PPKE) AURORAI WP4 Lead Vice Dean for International Affairs Head, HPC Group

Research focus: High-performance computing, computational fluid dynamics, domain-specific languages, and software-hardware co-design for heterogeneous architectures.

Leadership emphasis: increasing abstraction for domain scientists while preserving backend-level performance.

István is the institutional Principal Investigator of Pázmány Péter Catholic University in AURORAI, the Horizon Europe project on AI for pandemic preparedness and response (grant agreement No. 101290677). He leads PPKE's contribution, including Work Package 4 on behaviour-aware, AI-enhanced population modelling built on PanSim. More about AURORAI →
